weekend trip to hamburg
This weekend we took a little trip to Hamburg—and I have to say, it felt like just what my soul needed.
We drove up on Thursday evening, since my boyfriend had an early appointment in the city Friday morning. That gave me the quiet morning hours to myself—which I love. I cozied up with my laptop, got a bunch of work done, and even took a moment to watch the special Canvas launch (so inspiring!).
The rest of the morning flowed in that perfect rhythm between peaceful and productive. I got ready slowly—no rushing, just soft music, warm coffee, and taking my time.
In the afternoon, I headed into the city center for a bit of shopping. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy wandering through the streets of Hamburg, dipping in and out of little stores, just being in the moment.
Later I grabbed Zoe, and we took the bus (always such a vibe when you’re not in a rush). We stopped for lunch at Trucys—where I obviously ordered my favorite avocado toast. It’s such a comfort food for me and tastes even better when shared with good company.
Friday evening, we had a cozy night in. Just the two of us, comfy clothes, no plans—so needed. We ordered Five Guys and fully leaned into the chill vibe.
We drove back home Saturday morning, which was perfect because it left us with the whole weekend ahead to recharge, reset, and soak up some slow moments at home.
Sometimes, a short trip is all you need to feel refreshed and recharged. Hamburg, you were good to us.
Waves of love, always.
