The Magic of Mornings

A Slow Start That Changes Everything

There’s something sacred about the early morning hours—before the world fully wakes up, before the to-do lists start shouting, before the inbox fills. It’s in that quiet space that I’ve found a small, powerful ritual: slowing down to read, breathe, and just be.

I used to start my days rushing—coffee in one hand, phone in the other, mentally already at work. But recently, I realized how much I need that calm before the storm. I started waking up just a little earlier, curling up with a book, lighting a candle, letting the soft morning light spill in through the window. It felt indulgent at first… and then it started to feel essential.

Even with a full-time job, this gentle beginning sets the tone for the entire day. I'm more centered, more focused, and way less reactive. Instead of feeling like the day owns me, I start to feel like I own the day.

So here’s a little midweek challenge for you:

Take the rest of this week to gift yourself 30 minutes each morning—no phone, no emails. Just you, your coffee or tea, and a book or journal. Let yourself ease into the day with intention and presence.

If you try it, I’d love to hear how it feels for you—drop a comment, DM me on Instagram, or even share a photo of your morning moment. Let’s inspire each other to reclaim our mornings.

Because sometimes, the smallest shifts create the biggest waves.

Waves of love, always.
