hello youtube
A Dream That Lingered Quietly
Starting a YouTube channel has been on my heart for years. Not loudly, not urgently — just a soft, persistent dream I carried in the background of everyday life. I’ve spent countless mornings and evenings watching daily vlogs from my favorite creators — their quiet routines, thoughtful storytelling, and the way they captured life as it unfolded.
Those videos brought me so much peace, so much presence. And deep down, I always wondered — what if I could do that too? But I held back. I didn’t feel ready. YouTube seemed overwhelming, and I had no idea where to begin.
From Reels to Vlogs — Finding My Starting Point
Instagram felt more familiar. I’ve been sharing there since 2014 — through filters, captions, phases of life. That’s where I slowly began to build my voice: through Reels, visuals, and little snippets of beauty. But there was always a part of me that longed for something slower, longer, deeper. Something like a vlog.
A Summer Captured, Then Tucked Away
Last year, I travelled to Sweden for Midsommar — as I’ve done so many Junes before. That time of year means everything to me: family, nature, barefoot mornings with coffee, late-night bonfires, flower crowns, and soft lake sunsets. I filmed a lot of it, not really knowing what it was for — I just followed my intuition.
But then I came home. Life moved on. And I never posted it. The footage stayed on my hard drive like a memory I wasn’t ready to share.
This Year, I’m Not Going to Sweden
As June approaches again, everything feels different. I’m in the middle of a move, life is shifting, and for the first time in years, I won’t be celebrating Midsommar in Sweden with my family. There’s a longing in me — one I didn’t know how to ease.
So I opened that old footage. I watched the lake shimmer again. I heard our laughter by the fire. And suddenly, I knew: this was the moment to share it. To create a little love letter to that time.
My First Ever YouTube Video
It’s not perfect. It’s soft. Simple. Honest.
But it’s mine.
This video is a gentle beginning — my very first YouTube vlog. An ode to Sweden, to slow living, to being present with the people and places we love most.
If you feel a little stuck, or nostalgic, or just quietly longing for summer — maybe this video will feel like a breath of fresh air for you too.
