sunday situation and reflections
A Typical German Sunday
Sundays in Germany have a special rhythm—stores are closed, and the day is meant for rest, a true Ruhetag. For us, Sundays often mean long walks with our dog along the ocean, feeling the wind on our faces. This weekend, it got quite cold again, so I pulled out my winter jacket. Thankfully, warmer days are ahead, and I can’t wait for the temperatures to rise again this week!
Construction Progress: Step by Step
There’s movement on the construction site! The plasterer will arrive on Monday, and the electricians finished some final adjustments. It’s incredible to see everything coming together. Are you interested in more updates on our construction journey? Let me know—I’d love to share more insights!
Big Decisions and Overthinking Everything
This past week also brought some major professional decisions. Some exciting opportunities have come my way—ones that make me proud but also require a lot of careful thought. As much as I want to be spontaneous and embrace new challenges, my mind tends to overthink every detail.
Being an Aries with a Cancer ascendant, I constantly struggle between an ambitious go-get-it mindset and the emotional depth of questioning everything. I want to make bold moves, yet I hesitate, wondering if I’m choosing the right path. Do you ever feel that way—torn between excitement and self-doubt?
Looking Ahead: Gratitude and Trusting the Process
One thing I’ve been working on is shifting my mindset. Instead of worrying about the "what-ifs," I want to focus on being grateful for what I’ve already built and achieved. Seeing people impressed and proud of my journey is amazing, yet sometimes I struggle to feel that same pride myself. But life is about learning, growing, and trusting the process.
On a lighter note, we booked a fun work trip to Norway in April, which I’m super excited about! In the meantime, I’m soaking in the beauty of my pastel-painted life (check my Instagram for more), enjoying the little things, and embracing what’s ahead.
I hope your week was great too—and if not, remember: things always get better. Reflect, focus on the good, and work towards the better. It’s all about the mindset.
Waves of love, always.
