august recap
And just like that, August slipped away into a moment in time cause it was never mine
Even the excitement of autumn being right around the corner can’t take away the bittersweet feeling of leaving August behind. The last proper month of summer always carries a certain weight, and this year it feels even heavier. We had warm days, but they came as short bursts of heatwave moments rather than a steady, golden summer. Somehow, I never felt like I fully arrived in the season.
Maybe it’s because I was so caught up in work, finishing up the house, and everything that comes with construction finals. Building infrastructure, planning a garden, buying furniture, unpacking boxes – it was all-consuming. There was no real pause, no proper vacation time off to reset and soak it all in. And so, this summer feels strange, fragmented, unfinished. A season I never got to truly enjoy.
Now, with September beginning, a part of me feels anxious about what’s ahead. The thought of shorter days and darker skies can be intimidating, almost overwhelming. But at the same time, there’s something comforting in the shift. Autumn has its own magic – a quiet charm that whispers of cozy evenings, golden leaves, fresh starts, and slowing down.
That’s why I decided to write myself a September bucket list – little things that remind me to notice, to breathe, to savor. I am also preparing a special homepage offer for you that I’ll share with you soon, something to carry us gently into the new season. Because maybe that’s what this month is about: finding beauty in the transitions, holding onto gratitude, and creating small moments of joy even when things feel heavy.
Let’s romanticize this September together. Let’s make the best of it, embrace the season, and remind ourselves how beautiful it is simply to be alive.
What did you do this summer? Hope you enjoyed and cherished it more than I did.
Waves of love, always.
